5 Directions The New Star Wars Trilogy Could Go In

With Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker poised to become Disney’s 8th Billion Dollar release of 2019, it should come as no surprise that a new trilogy is on the horizon. Much remains uncertain as to what direction those new films might go in, but one has to think that they will stay away from revisiting some aspects of the Skywalker Saga. So we thought it would be fun to speculate as to where this franchise is headed. Here are 5 directions the new Star Wars trilogy could go in.

5. A trilogy centered around The Mandalorian –

The Mandalorian

I think if anything, we have learned that The Mandalorian is widely popular, and it’s not just because of Baby Yoda. The show is well written and well thought out. Why not bring on the same team for a trilogy centered around that same period with tie ins to any future Star Wars programming at Disney +. This is the way!

4. Knights of the Old Republic

Star Wars

If Disney went in this direction, the Internet might meltdown. The fans are certainly clamoring for a cinematic tie-in, and it would certainly be a bold pivot that would make all fans giddy

3. Maybe Finn?

Star Wars

It has been widely reported that actor John Boyega has stated that Finn was going to tell Rey that he was force sensitive. This wasn’t explored in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker and a new set of films could do just that. I am guessing Boyega wouldn’t say no to sizeable pay increase if he did 3 more movies.

2. Obi-Wan?

Obi Wan

I understand that we are getting an Obi-Wan Disney+ series, but what if those episodes set up a more in-depth look into his time between Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope? There are undoubtedly many directions that the series of films could go in.

1. The Unknown –

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

As much those previous 4 options would be fantastic, it seems most likely that Disney will take this new set of films in their “own” direction. I think if they get the right people involved (Jon Favreau) that fans across the globe will well receive the new trilogy. Whether critics praise it, that remains to be seen.

What do you guys think? Where do you think the new set of films is headed?
