‘Succession’ Season Two Episode Six Review: The Walls Are Closing In

A lot of dominoes fell during tonight’s episode of Succession, here are five takeaway from this episode.

5. Your answer to quelling a growing crisis is to trot these three out in front of a crowd?

So there’s a crisis (which we kind of already knew about it season one) stemming from an incident in cruises involving sexual exploitation, and the solution is to bring three siblings who don’t see eye to eye? As much as it seemed that this was going to go sideways, it does seem Shiv was able to help quell things for the time being.

4.  Can these two get it on already?

I never this was the couple we need, but it is the one we deserve. Now let’s get all of this nonsense out and get to the verb.

3. RIP deal which would save Waystar

There’s a massive blowup towards the end of the episode (just after the scandal has broken) and the deal effectively falls apart. I am not sure if that means it’s done for good but let’s say it doesn’t end well.

2. Speaking of things which end badly…

After the panel at the corporate retreat, Roman gets decked by a family member for being himself (a smart ass). Well, so much for him starting to climb the corporate ladder.

1. There’s more to this story.

Why did Logan seek out his wife before the story broke? Is it because he wanted to warn her before the scandal hit the New Yorker, or was it cause he thought the story would be more centered on his exploits? He alluded to the story, saying things about him when he shared the news with her. I think that there’s another part of this story we don’t know and it has something to do with those papers that were “destroyed” (not really) in season one of Succession.

I’m also starting to feel that when this all plays out that Logan might lose control of the firm. It would be quite a downfall but make for a beautiful start to season three of Succession.
